Execution Readiness – 2 Hours Live Virtual & 1/2 Day In Class
How well does your organization execute its initiatives? What are the roadblocks or challenges that impede action? Does your organization live up to its potential?
In our experience of working with organizations of all sizes, one of the biggest bottleneck is the state of execution readiness. Execution readiness is organization’s ability to move in the right direction and using as effective means as possible. It is a “meta-competency” build upon a synthesis of multiple important individuals and team competencies and traits, which can be summarized as follows:
- Be accountable for achieving results, not just committing to actions
- Take ownership of endeavor including managing stakeholders and their expectations
- Be empathetic and learn to view the world from the stakeholder perspective
- Make “adoption” the only obvious choice by removing obstacles
- Favor action over deep analysis and be willing to take risks, make mistakes, but correct early and move on
Course Description
This course is part concept, part case study, and part exercise that discusses the fundamental competencies underpinning execution readiness. This course will also highlight some of the signs to watch, such as paralysis analysis, and how to navigate these obstacles to achieving execution. Perhaps most importantly, everyone will contribute and participate. Thus, to be most effective, the class size will be small.
Participants will also have the opportunity to complete a short Strategic Business Execution survey (about 5-10 minutes) and receive a custom report on your organization’s state of implementation with the ExecutionIndex®, a measurement pioneered by PMO Advisory that evaluates your organization’s ability to execute.
Target Audience
The target groups for this course are:
- Business and technical professionals who are responsible for implementing projects and managing change in their organization
