Portfolio Management Summit 2023 | June 7, 2023

Project portfolio management has emerged as a pivotal development in the project management field, driven by three key factors. Firstly, organizations are recognizing the imperative to stay competitive by undertaking projects that align closely with their strategic objectives. Secondly, the need to address significant challenges such as risks, resources, governance, and performance has fueled the growing importance of project portfolio management. Lastly, the quest for improved investment performance and superior results has led organizations to focus on executing the “right projects” in conjunction with executing them in the “right way” through program and project management.

Despite its growing significance, forums dedicated to project portfolio management have been notably scarce. Many project portfolio professionals have been actively seeking suitable platforms for knowledge exchange and networking. This scarcity is particularly pronounced for individuals holding the Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certification, who must accrue “Ways of Working” or technical Professional Development Units (PDUs) to maintain their certifications.

In response to this gap, PMO Advisory, a PMI Authorized Training Partner and a recognized leader in project portfolio management, organized a virtual summit. This event provided a unique opportunity for portfolio professionals at all levels to come together, learn, network, and delve into the intricacies of project portfolio management. The summit served as a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing, fostering a collaborative environment that empowered professionals to enhance their skills and stay abreast of industry trends.
