PMP Course Resources for Registered Participants

Before Starting the Class

  • Pre-Training Survey – Complete the short survey to provide us with better understanding of your needs
  • PMO Advisory PMP Preparation Videos – This is a series of 12 videos designed to provide an overview of thePMBOK® Guide.  These videos are also suitable for CAPM preparation. Please use your assigned password to view the videos.
  • PMI Foundation – PMBOK – Acquire and start reviewing the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®). Both the 7th and 8th Editions are available at the PMI Store. PMI members receive free downloads of both PDF versions. Otherwise, consider purchasing from Amazon.com or other bookstores. For those that are seriously considering the exam, it is less expensive to become PMI members and qualify for the member fee for the exam. Plus, you can download the PMBOK® Guide for free.
    • FYI. PMBOK 8th Edition is now available. The expected exam change to the new edition is around the second half of 2026.
    • Also, for those who studied earlier based on PMBOK 6th edition, much of the knowledge are still applicable. This is because while PMBOK 6th edition is now out of date, PMI’s published a “companion guide” to PMBOK 7 called the Process Group: A Practice Guide, which is essentially the 6th edition. Therefore, in reality, the 6th edition content is still in the current exam.  PMI member can download this guide for free, and we highly recommend studying this guide too.
  • Agile Practice Guide – This resource is available at the PMI Store. PMI members receive free downloads of a PDF version.
  • PMI Lexicon – Download the latest PMI lexicon of project management terms and start reviewing (PMI.org registration required)
  • PMO Advisory Big Card – This card contains important formulas, including financial and earned value, that you should remember for the exam.

 

During and After the Class

  • Online Practice Exam – You have access to exams in 2 modes – Flexible and Exam. In Flexible, you can choose up to 50 questions with unlimited time. In Exam mode, you are taking a simulated 190 question exam in about 4 hours.
  • Course / Certification Questions – Use this form to submit questions related to the certification / course
  • PMI PMP Certification Page – Additional PMI resources including Handbook, Examination Content Outline (ECO), Exam Guidance, and Reference List
