This September: Let’s Celebrate Labor Day!

We all know that holidays are about celebrating important moments in American history. We also know that holidays are about relaxing and having fun with family and friends. But what many people don’t realize is that holidays also have an educational component—they give us an opportunity to learn more about our culture’s history, as well as its future.

That’s why we think Labor Day is great: it’s a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come as a country while looking forward at what’s next for us all.

Short Read: How Can Organizations Acknowledge Their Workforce this Labor Day

The Labor Day holiday is a time to celebrate the labor and workforce of Americans. It is a day to honor the hard work and commitment that has made our country great. It is also a good opportunity to reflect on the state of our economy and how it will affect us in the future.

There are now more than 70 million Americans who work at home. More than half of all workers spend some or all of their time working remotely, or telecommuting as it is often called.

Organizations can honor the labor movement by taking time to recognize the people who work for them. This can take many forms:

  • A company-wide email thanking employees for their hard work and dedication over the past year.
  • An employee recognition program that recognizes top performers and those who go above and beyond in their jobs.
  • A speech from leadership thanking employees for their work and thanking them for what they do every day.
  • Allow them to reach for greater heights and upskill. With PMO Advisory, we offer professional certification trainings for Project Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Risk and Agile Management catering to individuals and large groups.

Labor Day is an excellent opportunity for business owners to acknowledge how important their employees are by recognizing them publicly during this holiday weekend.
