PMO Advisory CEO Led a Project that Won “Honorable Mention” in Project Management Institute’s New Jersey Chapter “Project of the Year” Award

PMO Advisory CEO, Mr. Te Wu, led a project that won “Honorable Mention” for the Project of the Year award by Project Management Institute New Jersey Chapter in May 2015. The award was a wonderful honor recognizing the value of the project management and its role in achieving success.

PMO Advisory (https://www.pmoadvisory.com) is pleased to announce that its CEO, Mr. Te Wu, has been leading a project for Montclair State University that was awarded an Honorable Mention at PMI’s NJ Chapter Project of the Year Awards. This annual recognition of the best of the best amongst project teams in the state of NJ is highly competitive. The award “recognizes and celebrates outstanding accomplishments of a project team for superior performance and execution of exemplary project management” according to PMI-NJ’s description of the criteria of the award. The university is the second largest in the New Jersey with over 20,000 students

The Canvas Implementation project is a transformative project that elevates the learning management system at the university. The primary challenge is not technology, but people – how to obtain buy-ins and train a critical mass of people before going live. The fear was that unfamiliar users would overwhelm the training capacity of the university and undermine the new Canvas Learning Management. Through diligent planning and attentive leadership by executives at the university, the project was a complete success – on time, fulfilling the scope, coming under budget, and most importantly high user satisfaction.

“This project will have such a strong impact on MSU to set it even further to the forefront of educational technology, enhancing the entire experience for both faculty and students”, stated Wu, “and the win is a reflection of the hard work of the entire team including the administration.”

Mr. Wu holds PMP and PgMP certifications and is one of the first ten professionals in the world to receive the PfMP certification. He has also been teaching management and project management at Montclair State University since 2003 and other regional schools including Stevens Institute of Technology and Touro Graduate School of Business. He is also an author, recently publishing on Amazon “The Sensible Guide to a Career in Project Management in 2015” and “The Sensible Guide to Passing the PfMP Exam”.
